Johnsons Apparelmaster Takes on New Johnsons Workwear Name
The new year marked a new era for Johnsons Apparelmaster: on 6 January 2020, Johnsons Apparelmaster Limited (t/a Johnsons Apparelmaster) changed its name to Johnsons Textile Services Limited (t/a Johnsons Workwear).
“We have simply decided to adopt a new name and logo that better represent who we are today and what we do as a business” explained the company’s Managing Director Helen Wood. “Our new branding is shared across all of the businesses within Johnsons, reflecting that we are part of a larger organisation and share our commitment to the highest levels of customer service.”
The last significant brand change for the business was over 20 years ago when, in 1998, it changed its name from Apparelmaster UK to Johnsons Apparelmaster. A new logo, introduced in 1999, used a modern font and introduced a coat hanger as a ‘nod’ to the previous Apparelmaster triangle, with a flowing ribbon and updated colours inspired by the previous Apparelmaster logo.
Over the next ten years, this logo was adapted with varying straplines, such as ‘clothing over a million people’.
In 2008 under the leadership of Sales and Marketing Director Mark Rue, the widely recognised strapline ‘We care for what you wear’ was adopted. The script and letters were updated to give a more ‘personal touch’.
“Our strong culture, belief in excellent customer service, respect for employees and family values together with, our service delivered with national expertise and local knowledge will connect our past with our future, leading us forward as a brand that is open, honest and welcomes positive change,” commented Helen Wood.
The company’s existing Company Registration Number (00464645) remains unchanged and any existing legal agreements remain in effect.
