Caroline Puts Her Time and Talents to Good Use Making NHS Scrubs
While our product manager Caroline Noonan has been away from Johnsons Workwear during the Covid-19 lockdown, she has been putting her skills to the best possible use, and taking advantage of having an industrial sewing machine at home, by manufacturing much-needed scrubs for the NHS.
Caroline has 23 years of experience in the textile environment. She began as a student of fashion and has experience of working in the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear industry (CBRN), where she supported the design of the current British military uniform.
Recently, she has been busy with a local group of volunteers who are sewing for Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The group is a regional subgroup of 'For The Love Of Scrubs' that is working endlessly to support Wirral, Chester and recently Liverpool hospitals and clinics with the huge increase in demand for Scrubs.
“These people are amazing,” says Caroline, “you can’t help but be inspired by their hard work and generosity. I'm so proud to be part of this group.”
More information about For the Love of Scrubs can be found in various groups on Facebook.
